Seasoned was founded in 2010 by Clare Major, and is located in the beautiful grounds of the privately owned, Catton Hall Estate.

We work with over 15 freelance chefs, all with different culinary expertise. Their passion and drive for their respective cuisines allows all those who attend a course to get some great tips and tricks.

Alongside the fabulous chefs, there is also a small team of administration, marketing staff and ‘kitchen fairies’ working to make your day seamless.

Clare Major

Clare Major

Clare is the founder of Seasoned Cookery School. Clare is passionate about inspiring people with food and creating memorable experiences for everyone who passes through the Seasoned door.

Clare focuses on running the marketing side of the business. However Clare can always be relied on to be chief taster, tea & coffee maker and swaps her computer for her washing up gloves at the drop of a hat!

Jules Gilbert

Jules Gilbert

Jules is a passionate foodie, with a particular penchant for baking and working with children, previously running food education sessions in schools. Jules oversees all of the bookings and helps to organise course days.

When not in the Seasoned kitchen Jules can normally be found knee deep in recipe books or baking in the kitchen with her young daughter.

Tania started working for Seasoned in 2013 and has now established herself as queen of the kitchen!

Tania hosts course days looking after chefs and customers with enthusiasm and keeps the Seasoned kitchen looking spotless throughout the year.

Education & inspiration runs throughout the Seasoned business and every year Clare takes an intern on placement from University.

This year Anna joins us from Harper Adams University to learn more about marketing and the runnings of a cookery school alongside helping with bookings & looking after the Seasoned website.

Caroline started working for Seasoned in 2015.

She is now a vital member of the ‘kitchen fairy’ team looking after all of our customers with enthusiasm, ensuring everyone has a fun filled day

Seasoned specialises in inspirational courses taught by friendly, passionate chefs. Why not come along and meet the team on one of our courses. Each course at Seasoned aims to teach customer new skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Whether you are cooking steak for the first time or wanting to perfect your patisserie skills, there is a course for everyone.

In addition to cookery courses Seasoned also offer Private parties, cookery team building days and kitchen hire to food companies. With easy access to the M1, M6 and M42 Seasoned is close to Lichfield, Birmingham and Derby: making the most of superb transport links and ample free parking whilst being in a rural pocket of tranquility.
